Eastsoft Develops AI Caster Irumi for Korea Expressway Corporation
ESTsoft announced on the 11th that it has created an AI caster named Irumi to promote the Korea Expressway Corporation Traffic Center.
The Korea Expressway Corporation Traffic Center began providing traffic information via radio broadcasts at the Mannam Rest Area in 1983. Currently, it manages traffic 24 hours a day and provides real-time traffic information not only through TV and radio but also on smartphones and navigation systems.
This project started after the Korea Expressway Corporation recognized the excellence of ESTsoft's AI human technology in natural speech and movement, as well as its multilingual speech capabilities. In particular, the decision was largely influenced by the judgment that introducing AI humans could enhance efficiency in promoting the Traffic Center’s excellence both domestically and internationally.
The AI caster Irumi, developed by both companies, has been used in videos to promote the Traffic Center. Since Irumi can speak multiple languages, it has been featured in promotional videos produced not only in Korean but also in English, Spanish, and Russian.
Going forward, ESTsoft plans to expand its public sector projects based on the operational know-how it has secured from AI human services in the public domain. In addition to existing AI human services, the company intends to actively utilize its technology to develop and advance conversational AI kiosks that handle civil complaints or assist senior care within the public sector.
