Suwon City Supports Home Repairs in Low-Rise Residential Areas... Up to 12 Million KRW
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is launching a low-rise residential area home repair support project called Saebit House.
Suwon City announced that from the 11th of this month until the 30th of next month, it will recruit households to participate in the Saebit House project, which supports home repair costs for houses with four floors or fewer (detached, multi-family, or row houses) that have been approved for use for more than 20 years.
The support fund is up to 12 million KRW (with a 10% self-payment), and Suwon City has allocated a budget of 4.38 billion KRW for this year.
The main support projects include ▲ home repair work to improve performance such as waterproofing, insulation, windows, facilities, and exterior wall construction ▲ external landscape improvement work such as demolition of fences facing roads, fence crack repairs, gate replacement, and creation of rest areas and flower beds ▲ installation of disaster prevention facilities for flooding and fire ▲ restoration work for disaster-affected households. Vulnerable groups will receive full support within the maximum amount according to the type of housing.

Suwon City will select recipients in June after reviewing and evaluating unit prices and support appropriateness, followed by on-site inspections.
A Suwon City official stated, "We will actively promote the project by sending text messages to citizens who express their intention to apply for Saebit House, posting banners within the home repair support area, and more. We ask many residents living in aging low-rise residential areas to apply."
