Geumcheon-gu Supports Overseas Market Expansion... Provides Information on Online Export Channels
From March 18, Corporate Support Center Offers 'Free Export Support Program Search Service'
Helps Select Overseas Buyers and Conduct Sales Activities for Export Assistance
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that starting from the 18th, it will support the 'Export Support Program Free Search Service' at the Enterprise Support Center to assist G-Valley companies and small and medium-sized enterprises in developing overseas sales channels.
Local companies have faced difficulties in developing export channels due to a lack of information about overseas companies and limited opportunities to meet foreign buyers.
Reflecting the opinions of companies that offline export consultation meetings should be supplemented with multifaceted online approaches to expand opportunities to discover overseas buyers, the service will be operated accordingly.
The 'Export Support Program Free Search Service' helps local companies directly find information about overseas buyers.
The export support programs include 'D&B Hoover’s' (hereafter Hoover’s) and 'Import Genius' (hereafter Genius). Hoover’s provides information on over 500 million companies and financial data, while Genius offers import-export transaction details from four countries (the United States, India, Russia, and Vietnam).
Through Hoover’s, companies can analyze financial data and product sales status to derive indicators of financial capacity and future growth potential, which can be used to verify whether overseas companies have the potential for transactions.
Based on the trade data provided by Genius, companies can obtain lists of overseas buyers suitable for their scale and contact information of purchasing managers.
By utilizing these programs, exporters can select appropriate overseas buyers and conduct sales activities to aid their entry into foreign markets.
Companies wishing to use the service can visit the Enterprise Support Center and search using dedicated laptops. Consultations for buyer selection are also available, and companies can make an appointment by phone with the Geumcheon-gu Office Regional Economy Division before visiting the Enterprise Support Center. Detailed consultations are provided by tax officials from Geumcheon-gu Office and professional advisors from the Seoul Business Agency.
Additionally, overseas buyer searches can be requested via phone or email. Phone requests should be made to the Geumcheon-gu Office Regional Economy Division, and email requests can be submitted by downloading the application form from the district office website, filling it out, and sending it by email.
