On the 10th, at the final 4th round of the LIV Golf Hong Kong (total prize money $25 million) held at Hong Kong Golf Club (par 70) in Hong Kong, he scored 5-under 65 and finished 50th (3-over 213). Although he finished last after recording over-par scores for three consecutive days at the LIV Golf Jeddah that ended on the 3rd, he announced his comeback by scoring under par for the first time in his second tournament and 6 rounds.
In this tournament, Anthony Kim escaped the bottom rank and surpassed four players. Jason Kokrak was 51st (6-over 216), Phil Mickelson and Hudson Swafford (both USA) tied for 52nd (8-over 218), and Kieran Vincent (Zimbabwe) was 54th (9-over 219).
Anthony Kim combined 7 birdies and 2 bogeys. Starting at the 15th hole (par 4), he had refreshing 'stepping stone birdies' at the 16th and 18th holes. After that, he exchanged 2 birdies and 2 bogeys over 10 holes without reducing his score, but showed strong finishing power with 3 consecutive birdies from the 11th to 13th holes. He made par on the last 14th hole (par 4). He reaped the fruits of steady preparation, including partially changing equipment such as his putter before this tournament.
Right after the round, Anthony Kim said, "I am doing my best to regain my prime form. Returning to the course was the right decision, and I am heading in the right direction." To regain his competitive edge, Anthony Kim will participate in the Asian Tour International Series Macau (total prize money $2 million), held at Macau Golf & Country Club for four days starting from the 14th.
