Former Gyeongnam Police Chief Kim Jong-yang Confirmed as United Future Party Candidate for Uichang-gu, Changwon City
Gimhaegap, Final Runoff Voting from the 10th
Former Gyeongnam Police Chief Kim Jong-yang will run as the People Power Party candidate for the Changwon-si Uichang-gu electoral district in Gyeongnam in the upcoming April 10 National Assembly election.
The People Power Party's Nomination Management Committee announced on the 9th that after holding the 4th primary election over two days starting from the 7th, targeting general voters and party members, the candidate for the Changwon-si Uichang-gu electoral district has been finalized.
Kim Jong-yang, former Chief of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, is holding a press conference for his candidacy at the Changwon City Hall Press Center.

Former Chief Kim competed in the primary against Bae Cheol-soon, former administrative officer of the Presidential Secretariat's Political Affairs Office.
Kim, who won the primary, will face the unified opposition candidate selected through a primary between Democratic Party's Kim Ji-soo and Progressive Party's Jeong Hye-kyung in the general election.
In the Gimhae-gap electoral district, Kwon Tong-il, former policy advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, former lawmaker Kim Jeong-gwon, and former Gyeongnam Provincial Deputy Governor Park Seong-ho held a primary during the same period, but no candidate received more than 50% of the votes.
