The Spirit of Roh Hoe-chan's Rose Sharing Continues
Park Myung-gi, the Green Party candidate for Mokpo City National Assembly, participated in the Rose Sharing Campaign organized by the Roh Hoe-chan Foundation on the 8th to commemorate International Women's Day on March 8.
Candidate Park stated, "International Women's Day was established to commemorate the day 116 years ago when American women workers fought against armed military forces demanding voting rights, the formation of labor unions, and wage increases."
On the 21st of last month, Park Myung-gi, a preliminary candidate from the Green Justice Party, held a press conference announcing his candidacy for the Mokpo electoral district in the 22nd general election.

He continued, "The late Assemblyman Roh Hoe-chan delivered roses to women workers every year on International Women's Day since 2005 as a pledge to resolve women's discrimination, expand women's rights, and realize a culture of gender equality in Korean society," adding, "Since then, the 'Spirit of Roh Hoe-chan's Rose Sharing' has continued."
On the occasion of Women's Day, he presented five major visions to create a 'Gender-Equal Republic of Korea.'
△ Expand and reorganize the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family into the Ministry of Gender Equality △ Enact laws to eliminate the gender wage gap and realize a workplace free from discrimination and with gender equality △ Guarantee gender-equal care and safe workplaces, not just women's roles △ Ensure safe daily life through the three sexual violence laws (introduction of non-consensual rape crime, revision of stalking punishment law, strengthening response to technology-based digital sexual violence), and guarantee safe pregnancy termination and sexual and reproductive health rights △ Establish a social safety net to guarantee equal lives and basic rights for all.
