Gyeonggi Office of Education, Comprehensive Audit 'Selection and Concentration'... School-Led Audits Doubled
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will establish and implement an internal audit plan this year targeting education support offices, affiliated institutions, and schools within the province.
On the 7th, the Office announced that it plans to conduct comprehensive audits focusing on institutional accountability and public interest enhancement through selective and focused audits centered on projects for 9 education support offices, 5 affiliated institutions, and 899 schools this year.
First, the Office doubled the number of schools subject to school-led comprehensive audits from 20% last year to 40% this year. The 355 schools, accounting for 40%, will conduct preventive audits through school-led audits where school members self-inspect, aiming to reduce audit workload and strengthen school accountability.
Additionally, to foster a proactive workplace atmosphere, the Office will promote ▲expansion of special benefits for proactive administration ▲activation of the proactive administration exemption system ▲promotion and education of the pre-consultation system.
Furthermore, to prevent passive work handling, the Office plans to conduct effective audits by establishing general standards through case analysis by type, providing field guidance to institutions and frontline schools, and reflecting audit disposition standards.
