Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon promised to walk the path of unity after paying respects at the late President Roh Moo-hyun's grave site in Bongha Village, Gimhae City, Gyeongsangnam-do on the 5th.
Governor Kim Dong-yeon wrote on his social media service (SNS) that day, "I will carry on President Roh Moo-hyun's will," adding, "I pledge to walk the path to create a greater Republic of Korea, a path of unity and harmony."

Governor Kim is an alumnus of the former Deoksu Commercial High School (now Deoksu High School), and since Deoksu High School is participating in this baseball tournament, he was chosen as the first pitch thrower.
