View original imageThe Democratic Party Election Commission announced the results of the nomination primary at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.
In Jeonju-eul, five candidates competed. Former proportional representative lawmaker Yang Kyung-sook, lawyer Ko Jong-yoon, lawyer Lee Deok-chun, and Choi Hyung-jae, deputy chairman of the Democratic Party Policy Committee, faced off against Lee, who secured a majority of the votes and ranked first.
In Goyang-byeong, Gyeonggi Province, Lee Ki-heon, former Blue House Civil Affairs Secretary under the Moon Jae-in administration, defeated incumbent lawmaker Hong Jeong-min in the runoff vote and was selected as the candidate.

In Cheonan, Chungnam, the district of former lawmaker Park Wan-joo who left the party, candidate Lee Jae-gwan won the three-way primary against candidates Lee Gwi-hee and Kim Young-soo to become the candidate.
