Kim Kyung-soo, CEO of Woldang Folk Museum, Appointed President of the Korean Association of Ancient Art
The Korea Antique Art Association announced on the 4th that Kim Kyung-soo, director of the Woldang Folk Museum in Changwon, Gyeongnam, has been inaugurated as the 27th president. The term of office is three years.
Born in Jinhae, President Kim entered the antique art trading business in 1983, following in the footsteps of his father, Kim Heung-seon, who was the first president of the Gyeongnam branch of the Korea Antique Art Association.
He has served as vice president and senior vice president of the Korea Antique Art Association and has worked as an appraisal committee member in the folk crafts field on KBS's program "TV Show Genuine Articles."
President Kim expressed his inauguration remarks, saying, "We will reasonably discuss restrictions related to the overseas export of cultural assets and reorganize the appraisal organization to secure the credibility of antique art appraisals."
