Munyongjin, Mokpo City Preliminary Candidate, Urges Reconsideration Approval for 'Special Party Regulation Youth Primary'
Request for Legitimate Reconsideration According to Regulations: "Expecting a Wise Outcome That Gives Hope to Newcomers"
Moon Yong-jin, the Democratic Party of Korea's preliminary candidate for Mokpo City National Assembly, has filed an appeal regarding his exclusion from the primary and expressed his related position.
On the 29th, Moon held a press conference and said, "I was excluded from the primary in the 8th candidate screening results announced by the Democratic Party on the 28th, and I have filed an appeal," adding, "I would like to clarify my position on this matter."

Regarding the appeal, Candidate Moon stated, "I once again urge the Democratic Party of Korea to allow young political newcomers to participate in the primary, and as a party member who loves the party, I have respectfully requested a rehearing according to the party regulations and proper procedures," adding, "I will wait for the Democratic Party's wise decision on the appeal."
He continued, "The Democratic Party must fulfill its promise to guarantee young candidates a fair opportunity to compete through the primary, as stipulated in Article 16, Clause 4 of the special party regulations concerning the 22nd National Assembly election candidate primary principles," emphasizing, "Only then will it become a party that gives hope to political newcomers with great aspirations."
He expressed confidence, saying, "I am sure the Democratic Party will make a just decision to accept the appeal," and stated his intention to follow the party's reasonable decision by promising, "As a member of the Democratic Party, I will do my best for the party's development according to the party's decision."
He also expressed his determination to do his utmost for the development of Mokpo City, as promised to the citizens of Mokpo.
Candidate Moon Yong-jin said, "I have gained the support of Mokpo citizens with fresh pledges that reflect the diverse voices of youth, seniors, women, and laborers, advocating for new changes," and promised, "I will continue to devote all my efforts to Mokpo's change, hope, and future."
