Park Min-su, the 2nd Vice Minister of Health and Welfare, proposed to meet and talk directly with the residents.
According to the medical community on the 28th, Vice Minister Park sent a text message to the residents that evening, proposing to meet and talk at 4 p.m. on the 29th at the Seoul Gangwon Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The meeting will be held privately. The 29th is the last day of the deadline set by the government urging their return, promising not to hold them accountable.
In the message, Vice Minister Park said, "I have proposed dialogue several times through official announcements and contacted representatives of the residents, but since I could not reach them, I am informing you of the time and place," adding, "Representatives of the Korean Intern Resident Association, representatives of each training hospital, and any resident can participate."
