Gyeonggi-do to Implement '360° Anywhere Care Disability Care Service' Starting March
Gyeonggi Province will officially launch the ‘360° Anywhere Care Disability Night and Holiday Care Program,’ which provides care services for people with disabilities during nights and holidays, starting in March.
On the 28th, Gyeonggi Province announced on its official website that it has selected a total of 40 institutions as operating organizations for the ‘360° Anywhere Care Disability Night and Holiday Care Program’: ▲9 institutions for institution-centered care type ▲15 institutions for institution-centered program type ▲16 institutions for self-help group autonomous type, as revealed on the 29th.
The institution-centered care type provides care within the institution and offers programs such as cultural and leisure activities depending on the institution’s operation method. The institution-centered program type supports cultural and artistic activities (musicals, choirs, etc.), sports (basketball, bowling, etc.), psychological counseling, rehabilitation therapy, and family programs.
The self-help group autonomous type supports activities such as exercise and pottery hobby sharing and hobby activities, as well as socially valuable activities like plogging and badminton, targeting people with disabilities and their families who find it difficult to participate in self-help groups during weekday daytime due to work.
Gyeonggi Province has allocated a total project budget of 2.1 billion KRW to the 40 selected institutions, providing up to 100 million KRW per type.
Earlier, from February 1 to 20, Gyeonggi Province recruited operating institutions for the ‘Disability Night and Holiday Care Program’ targeting welfare facilities and organizations for people with disabilities within the province.
Those interested in the Disability Night and Holiday Care Program service can inquire at the selected institution near their place of residence to use the service. For questions related to the program, contact the Gyeonggi Province Comprehensive Support Center for the Disabled at ☏031-299-5011(5012).
