Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service Audit Director Ugilje Awarded 'Presidential Citation'... Anti-Corruption Category on National Integrity Day
Woo Gil-je, Director of the Audit Office at the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, received the Presidential Citation for his efforts in preventing corruption.
The Service announced on the 28th that Director Woo was awarded the 'Presidential Citation' in recognition of his contributions to the anti-corruption sector at the 12th National Integrity Day commendation ceremony held by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission on the 27th.
The Service is recognized as an excellent institution for active administration public applications and integrity education activities by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, and as an outstanding institution collaborating with the Integrity Training Center. The Board of Audit and Inspection acknowledged the Service as an excellent institution in pre-consulting and audit activities of internal audit matters, actively promoting the spread of anti-corruption and integrity culture.
As a mentoring institution for integrity consulting of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, the Service participated for two consecutive years, presenting best practices, and established a foundation for spreading anti-corruption and integrity policies through active benchmarking by local governments and public institutions, as well as signing MOUs with related organizations.
Director Woo Gil-je, as the person in charge of the Service’s integrity work, became the first audit office director to obtain certification as a professional integrity instructor from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission to strengthen expertise. He also produced and distributed the conflict of interest prevention system manual (titled In My Hands BARO! Conflict of Interest Prevention Act), conducting field-centered lectures with professionalism.
