Hwang Hyun-sik, CEO of LG Uplus, visited Samsung Electronics' MWC exhibition hall on the 27th (local time) to view the 'Galaxy Ring' and praised the on-device AI technology highly.
On that day, Hwang attended the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held at the Barcelona International Exhibition Center in Spain and visited the Samsung Electronics exhibition hall.
No Tae-moon, President of Samsung Electronics MX Division, guided him and provided detailed product explanations.
Showing interest in the smart ring 'Galaxy Ring' scheduled for release within the year, Hwang asked, "Can I try wearing it once?" to which No replied, "I will personally bring one to the office later."
Hwang also viewed the 'SmartThings' service, which supports connectivity among various devices.
Regarding the SmartThings service that notifies users when to take medicine, No explained, "If you preset the medication time, multiple devices work in sync. We also plan to provide information such as which medicines should not be taken together."
Hwang praised No, saying, "Through this on-device AI, a new horizon for AI has been opened. I believe it will bring a revolution to AI services in the future."
In response, No said, "I think this is just the beginning. We will continue to develop it steadily and expand the devices."
