Ministry of Employment and Labor, Chungcheongbuk-do, and Partners Form Win-Win Council
"Leading Efforts to Create a Virtuous Cycle Ecosystem in the Industry"
Daesang announced on the 27th that it participated in the win-win cooperation council with the Ministry of Employment and Labor for the first time in the food industry and held the ‘Food Manufacturing Industry Win-Win Cooperation Joint Declaration Ceremony’ to pledge mutual growth with its partner companies.
At the joint declaration ceremony held on the 26th at the headquarters of Samjin Food in Jincheon-gun, Chungbuk, a joint declaration on win-win cooperation focusing on the employment, welfare, and safety of partner company workers was adopted. Samjin Food is one of Daesang’s partner companies.
The joint declaration was signed by Lee Jeong-sik, Minister of Employment and Labor, Kim Myung-gyu, Deputy Governor of Chungcheongbuk-do, Lim Jeong-bae, CEO of Daesang, and Shin Yong-woon, CEO of Samjin Food.
The win-win cooperation joint declaration is a win-win model conducted by the government at the regional level since last year, operated in a form where local governments and companies join forces with support from the central government, the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
Daesang agreed that cooperation among four parties is necessary for the sustainable growth of the food manufacturing industry, and thus held this joint declaration ceremony for the first time in the food industry.
According to the joint declaration, Daesang plans to strive to improve working conditions such as enhancing welfare and safety for partner company workers, and cooperate to improve technological competitiveness including securing skilled manpower and enhancing expertise and productivity. In addition, it will prepare and implement reasonable measures for win-win cooperation such as establishing fair trade relationships, creating a stable management environment, and seeking long-term development of the industry.
Partner companies also promised to actively participate in Daesang’s cooperation plans, including improving workers’ working conditions, strengthening capabilities, and innovation efforts to enhance competitiveness. To form a virtuous cycle structure of growth-employment-welfare in the food manufacturing industry through effective win-win cooperation, the Ministry of Employment and Labor and local governments will actively support all necessary matters for the implementation of the agreement.
