Hwaseong City Exchanges Letter of Intent for Friendly Exchange with Yancheng City, China
On the 25th, Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 26th that it exchanged a letter of intent for friendly exchange with Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, China, at the Rolling Hills Hotel located in Namyang-eup.
Through this exchange of the letter of intent for friendly exchange, the two cities agreed to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields and to sign a formal friendly exchange agreement when conditions are met in the future.

Yancheng City, located in the central coastal area of Jiangsu Province, China, is a city with an area of 17,000 km² and a population of 8 million. It is known as a representative pro-Korean city in China, with Korean language included on road signs. The Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone hosts a Korea-China industrial complex, where many Korean companies related to the automobile industry, such as Kia, have established a presence.
Last October, a delegation from Yancheng visited the "Hwaseong Mobility Exhibition" held in Hwaseong, and in November of the same year, a Hwaseong delegation visited the "Korea-China Trade and Investment Expo" hosted by Yancheng. The two cities have continuously sought friendly exchange and cooperation.
Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong, said, "Hwaseong and Yancheng are cities that share many commonalities in economy, natural environment, and geography," adding, "I hope that through exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as economy, industry, and culture, the two cities will grow together as a result of this letter of intent for friendly exchange."

Mayor Zhang Mingkang of Yancheng also responded, "Yancheng is the fastest-growing city in Jiangsu Province," and said, "The signing of the letter of intent for friendly exchange with Hwaseong will be an important stepping stone for both cities to take a leap forward."
