Gyeonggi-do Promotes Development of New Beauty and Healthcare Materials... Supports Bio-Enterprise Growth
Gyeonggi Province is promoting the development of bio new materials through the ‘2024 Domestic and International Natural and Synthetic Material Development Project’ and is recruiting companies to conduct clinical trials on the developed materials from February 23 to March 8.
The Domestic and International Natural and Synthetic Material Development Project is a research and development program supporting bio SMEs, and this year it is divided into two fields: beauty and healthcare material development and the operation of the Green Bio Material Bank.
The beauty material development field focuses on advancing functional materials and discovering new materials tailored to corporate demand. The healthcare material development field explores new functional healthcare materials and conducts advanced research utilizing existing research data.
The materials discovered and researched in this way are posted in the Green Bio Material Bank along with specialized information such as raw material registration, edibility, and academic information. Bio companies wishing to use these materials can obtain material extracts through the Green Bio Material Bank.
The ‘Domestic and International Natural and Synthetic Material Development Project’ promoted by Gyeonggi Province involves master’s and doctoral-level specialized researchers from the Bio Industry Headquarters of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency.
Over the past three years, the Bio Industry Headquarters has transferred seven core technologies to bio companies, leading to the development of various beauty and bio products, driving increased sales and investment attraction for companies, and focusing on the growth of bio startups in the province.
