Shin Dong-woo, Nano Chairman, Elected as the 21st President of Hanyang University Alumni Association
The Hanyang University Alumni Association announced on the 21st that Shin Dong-woo, CEO of Nano, was elected as the 21st president.
President Shin graduated from Hanyang University with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering (Class of '79). He then earned a master's degree in Materials Engineering from KAIST and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge in the UK.
In 1999, Shin founded Nano, a company specializing in SCR denitrification catalysts, leading efforts to remove nitrogen oxides, which are recognized as major contributors to air pollution.

Shin has served as a special training and adjunct professor at Hanyang University, a professor in the Department of Nano and New Materials Engineering at Gyeongsang National University, and president of the Sangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In 2019, he was selected as a full member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea.
