Samsung SDS Obtains Global Pharmaceutical Logistics Air Transport Certification
Samsung SDS announced on the 21st that it has obtained the pharmaceutical air transport certification (CEIV Pharma: Center of Excellence for Independent Validators Pharma) from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
This follows the acquisition of lithium battery air transport certification in December last year, marking the acquisition of international air transport qualifications for pharmaceuticals as well.

The CEIV pharmaceutical air transport certification is a global standard certification issued to companies that pass over 280 stringent criteria, including ▲delicate temperature control ▲operation of specialized management personnel ▲quality management systems ▲compliance with international regulations during the pharmaceutical transportation process.
In particular, unlike general cargo, pharmaceuticals are prone to deterioration at room temperature, making it essential to maintain optimal temperatures such as low temperature or refrigeration, and due to the high handling difficulty, specialized transportation and management processes are required.
Samsung SDS has established a network with global excellent partners and thoroughly manages the location and temperature history of pharmaceutical transportation through IoT (Internet of Things)-based transportation control services. It provides high-quality services by adhering to standard operating processes.
Through this certification, Samsung SDS plans to apply the pharmaceutical air transport procedures and standards in detail to its digital logistics service 'Cello Square' and commercialize them to continuously expand its external logistics business area. Cello Square is Samsung SDS's digital logistics platform that allows corporate customers to directly use the entire logistics process, including logistics quotation, reservation, transportation, cargo tracking, and settlement.
