Osan-si Village Bus Fare to Increase by 100 Won Starting Next Month
Adult Card Fare Increased from 1350 to 1450 Won
The village bus fare in Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do will increase by 100 won (adult rate) starting from the 1st of next month.
Osan City recently held a Consumer Policy Deliberation Committee meeting and announced on the 20th that it approved a proposal to adjust the village bus fare accordingly.
Accordingly, the village bus fare (card basis) will increase by 100 won (7.4%) from 1,350 won to 1,450 won for adults. The youth fare will rise by 60 won from 950 won to 1,010 won, and the child fare will increase by 50 won from 680 won to 730 won.
However, on a cash basis, the fares will uniformly increase by 100 won as follows: general 1,400 won → 1,500 won, youth 1,000 won → 1,100 won, and child 700 won → 800 won.
The city explained that it had frozen village bus fares for 4 years and 3 months since November 2019, but due to rising transportation costs and worsening management difficulties for transportation companies, it was inevitable to decide on a fare increase.
