Gurye-gun Holds Launch Ceremony for Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group

On the 16th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held the launching ceremony for the 2nd Gurye-gun Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group at the county office situation room.

At the launching ceremony, a commissioning ceremony and a meeting were held for the 22 members of the 2nd Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group.

The citizen participation group, selected through an open recruitment, will play a key role in creating a women-friendly city for the next two years by monitoring daily inconveniences, promoting women-friendly policies, collecting opinions, and proposing policies.

In addition, the citizen participation group will be divided into subcommittees such as regional safety enhancement, education and care, and policy promotion, actively leading the resolution of local issues, and plans to strengthen their capabilities through various training sessions and workshops.

County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “I ask the citizen participation group to closely observe local issues with a delicate eye and to propose various improvement opinions and policy directions.”
