Establishment of Management System and Promotion of Cultural Initiatives
Top Scores in 11 out of 12 Indicators
Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 19th that it has been selected as an 'Excellent Institution' for three consecutive years in the 2023 Data-Driven Administration Status Inspection Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, targeting 464 organizations including central administrative agencies, local governments, and public institutions.
The Data-Driven Administration Status Inspection Evaluation is conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in accordance with Article 22 of the "Act on the Promotion of Data-Driven Administration," which was implemented in December 2020. The evaluation inspects the overall operation status of data-driven administration in each institution and reflects it in policy improvements by examining 12 detailed indicators across four areas: management system, shared utilization, data analysis, and capacity culture.
In particular, this evaluation focused on the efforts and achievements of institutions, including excellent cases of improving internal administrative services and public services using data, as well as whether data analysis results on regional issues were reflected in policies.
Hapcheon-gun achieved the highest scores in 11 out of 12 indicators across four areas, including the establishment of a management system such as the interest of the head of the institution, securing budget and manpower, updating performance of institution-held data, and promotion policies for strengthening data utilization capabilities of public officials and fostering a data utilization culture. This accomplishment led to its selection as an excellent institution for three consecutive years in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol stated, "Objective and scientific administrative work centered on data not only helps solve complex local community issues but also greatly aids in discovering digital administrative services that residents can feel." He added, "We will continue to make more active efforts to improve the data analysis and utilization capabilities of all public officials to increase the rate of data-based administrative processing and policy reflection."
