Gyeonggi World Ceramic Biennale International Competition Online Registration Starts from the 19th
The Korea Ceramic Foundation began accepting online submissions for the international competition starting on the 19th, marking 200 days until the opening of the '2024 Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale' (KICB).
The competition targets works using clay (ceramics) as the main material or medium, including traditional and inherited ceramics, functional ceramics, sculptural ceramics, installations, media, and sound works, with a maximum of two entries per person.
Applicants wishing to participate must submit a work description, digital images, and an artist’s note on the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale website (kicb.or.kr) by March 18.
Now in its 12th edition, the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale will be held for 45 days from September 6 to October 20, centered around Icheon, Yeoju, and Gwangju, with events throughout the province.
Main events include the thematic exhibition (Icheon Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum), international competition (Yeoju Gyeonggi Living Ceramic Museum), Beautiful Our Ceramics Competition (Gwangju Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum), international academic conferences and seminars, creative workshops, art festivals, and market events.
The biennale’s theme and Event Identity Program (EIP) will be announced in April.

Meanwhile, the '2021 Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale' international competition recorded its largest scale with 1,184 artists from over 70 countries participating and 2,503 works submitted.
