The second solar term of spring, Usui (雨水), meaning "snow melts and becomes rain," falls on Monday the 19th, when the whole country will experience mild weather with rain in most areas. Especially, heavy rain is expected around Jeju Island, the southern coast, and the Jirisan area. The rainfall is expected to mostly subside overnight.

With the rising temperatures and rain, the frozen ground may thaw and weaken, so caution is needed regarding ground subsidence on roads or construction sites and soil erosion in mountainous areas.
The expected rainfall over the two days from the 18th to the 19th is 20 to 60 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and the Chungcheong region. The West Sea 5 Islands region will receive 10 to 40 mm. The eastern coast of Gangwon will see 5 to 30 mm, Gwangju, Jeonnam, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam will have 30 to 80 mm (with heavier amounts over 100 mm in eastern Jeonnam southern coast, Gyeongnam southern coast, and near Jirisan), Jeonbuk 20 to 70 mm, and Daegu and Gyeongbuk 10 to 60 mm. Ulleungdo and Dokdo will receive 5 to 40 mm of rain on the 19th only.
Jeju Island’s mountainous areas are forecasted to receive 100 to 150 mm (with some places over 200 mm), the northern part 20 to 60 mm, and other areas excluding the mountains and north will have 30 to 100 mm of heavy rain.
Fine dust levels will be 'Good' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the effect of precipitation.
