On the 24th at 10 AM, Folk Game Team Competition and Bibimbap Performance Held Around Dongjak-gu Office -
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced that the "Jeongwol Daeboreum Traditional Culture Event" will be held around Dongjak-gu Office on the 24th, when the first full moon of the year rises, to pray for the well-being and wishes of the residents.
This festival, hosted and organized by the Dongjak Cultural Center, holds great significance in commemorating the nation's traditional holiday by sharing and passing down traditional culture and promoting harmony among residents.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m., featuring a variety of programs such as ▲folk game competitions between neighborhoods ▲Jeongwol Daeboreum traditional game experience yard ▲special traditional culture performances at the Dongjak-gu Office auditorium and outdoor parking lot.
In the auditorium, a "Neighborhood Folk Game Competition" will take place with 15 neighborhood residents participating in folk games such as Yutnori, Tuho, and Jegichagi.
At the outdoor parking lot, a traditional experience yard will be set up where participants can enjoy folk game culture with activities like rice cake pounding, Neolttwigi (Korean seesaw), flying rubber shoes, and spinning tops. Any Dongjak-gu resident can participate without a separate application.
Additionally, after lunchtime, attendees can enjoy lively performances by traditional Korean music and trot singers.
For the first time this year, a "Giant Bibimbap Performance" will be presented, offering a time for families to wish for health and for residents to participate together and share neighborly affection.
