Seongnam City Conducts Comprehensive Survey of Elderly People Collecting Waste Paper
View original imageSeongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a full survey of elderly people collecting waste paper by the 29th.
This is to establish a case management system and provide customized support by understanding the current status of elderly waste paper collectors.
The survey will be conducted by obtaining personal information of elderly waste paper collectors from 41 junk shops in the area and then visiting each household to assess their living conditions.
The identified elderly waste paper collectors will be registered in the integrated social welfare management network for regular monitoring.
In addition, individual counseling will be provided to connect them with senior job opportunities.
If necessary, support will also be provided through the Basic Livelihood Security Program and health and welfare services.
A Seongnam City official stated, "Through this full survey, we will accurately grasp the status of elderly people collecting waste paper in the area and promote customized support," adding, "If you know any elderly waste paper collectors nearby, please contact the local administrative welfare center."
