Osan-si Launches Customized Support for Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence
Establishment of Joint Local Government and Police Response Team
Systematic Management of Counseling, Welfare, and Recurrence Prevention
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province has established a customized support system for victims of domestic violence and sexual violence.
On the 15th, Osan City announced that it recently established a 'Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Joint Response Team' at the AI Coding Edu Lab located in Cheonghak-dong in collaboration with the Osan Police Station and has begun full-scale operations. The joint response team aims to overcome the limitations of individual responses by local governments and the police when domestic violence and sexual violence incidents occur.
The joint response team provides systematic support for victims from initial counseling to welfare linkage and recurrence prevention management. To this end, the team is staffed with two counselors who also serve as integrated case managers and one abuse prevention police officer.
The joint response team offers various services to victims reported through 112 and general citizens who need counseling related to domestic violence and sexual violence, including ▲initial counseling ▲support and information on welfare resources ▲linkage to customized support agencies ▲occasional support and counseling ▲legal counseling and medical expense support.
