Obigo Achieves 15.1 Billion KRW in Sales Last Year... "Will Launch Mobility Service This Year"
Obigo, a specialized company in smart car software platforms, announced on the 14th that it recorded sales of 15.1 billion KRW and a net profit of 400 million KRW last year. Sales increased by 24.7% compared to the same period last year, and net profit turned positive.
Royalty sales increased significantly thanks to the rise in software (SW) installation volume in finished vehicles. Starting from the second quarter of last year, new royalty sales were generated by supplying software to domestic finished car groups. By the end of last year, with the addition of the global number one video platform YouTube, the possibility of Obigo software being installed on the global volume of its clients became very high.
Along with increasing royalty sales through continuous expansion of software installation volume, Obigo is also expanding cooperation with key content companies to introduce new mobility services. Since the second half of last year, it has been jointly developing in-vehicle artificial intelligence (AI) services with NCSoft, Polaris Office, and Applause.
To target overseas markets, Obigo also signed content partnerships with a German video platform company and a French radio company. Obigo plans to seek opportunities to establish mobility services as core content for finished vehicles through collaboration with companies that have the highest expertise in each field.
