Typical temperatures for early April
As the warm weather continues, the 'warmest February morning on record' has arrived.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 14th, the daily minimum temperature in Incheon by 8 a.m. was 11.0 degrees Celsius, the highest since modern meteorological observations began in 1904 for February. The previous record was 8.5 degrees (February 25, 2010).

In Seoul (based on the Seoul Observatory in Songwol-dong, Jongno-gu), the lowest temperature of the day was 8.8 degrees, the fourth highest February minimum temperature since meteorological observations began in 1907.
This warm weather was caused by warm and humid southwesterly winds blowing into the lower atmosphere of Korea along the edge of a high-pressure system located east of Japan. Such temperatures usually appear in early April.
Daytime temperatures are also expected to rise above 15 degrees in most regions. The forecasted daytime high temperatures range from 13 to 19 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures will remain above freezing at night, maintaining mild weather until the morning of the 15th. Afterward, from the daytime of the 15th, cold air will begin to move southward from the northwest, bringing temperatures down to average levels.
Meanwhile, humid southwesterly winds and a pressure trough passing over the southern sea near Jeju will cause occasional rain in Jeju, the southern regions, and Chungcheong until night. Chungcheong and Yeongnam will mostly experience breaks in the rain.
Additionally, there may be rain in eastern Gyeonggi and western Gangwon during the morning, and light raindrops in Seoul, Incheon, and western Gyeonggi.
Rain is also expected on the 15th.
As a pressure trough moves southward from the north, rain will begin in the early morning of the 15th in the metropolitan area and western Gangwon, spreading nationwide by the morning. This rain will not last more than a day and will stop from the late afternoon of the 15th starting in the metropolitan area and Chungnam, ceasing mostly by night.
In Gangwon and northeastern Gyeonggi, due to low temperatures, snow may fall instead of rain and accumulate on the 15th.
Expected precipitation amounts for the 14th to 15th are: Jeju 10?40 mm, Gangwon Yeongdong 5?30 mm, Chungbuk, Gwangju, Jeonnam, Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Gyeongbuk East Coast 5?20 mm, metropolitan area, Gangwon Yeongseo, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Daegu, inland Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo 5?10 mm, and the five western islands about 5 mm.
