Protecting Teachers' Rights and Supporting Communication with Call Recording Feature
AI Summarizes and Analyzes Emotions in Call Recording Files
Beta Service Conducted in First Semester... Fully Free of Charge

KT is integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology into its teacher rights protection application, 'RangTalk.' Starting from March, when the new semester begins, KT announced on the 14th that it will offer a beta service of the ‘AI Call Report’ on RangTalk.

Launched in March 2021, RangTalk is a teacher rights protection service app that allows teachers to communicate with students or parents without exposing their personal phone numbers. When a parent calls the school's landline number, the call is forwarded to the teacher's phone with RangTalk installed. It is available for schools that have KT landline phones installed. Since it is not a wireless call between mobile phones, iPhone users can also use the call recording feature through RangTalk.

The newly updated AI Call Report has six main features: ▲ converting and searching call content into text ▲ sentiment analysis of call results ▲ summarizing call content and organizing keywords ▲ providing a summary of previous call history when receiving a call ▲ cloud backup of call recording files ▲ external sharing of call reports.

According to in-depth interviews conducted by KT with teachers, teachers previously recorded and stored communications with parents or students manually or electronically. KT expects that the AI Call Report will reduce teachers' communication workload and make communication between teachers and parents easier.

The AI Call Report feature will be offered free of charge in a beta service form throughout the first semester to welcome the new school year. All teachers using RangTalk will be able to enjoy various teacher rights protection service benefits through AI.

Myeong Jehun, Head of KT Enterprise Telecommunications Business Division, said, “We expect RangTalk to faithfully serve as a bridge between teachers and parents through AI services,” and added, “We will continue to introduce various services that can lead digital transformation (DX) using innovative technologies such as AI and cloud from the customer’s perspective.”
