Bezos Sells Part of Amazon Shares for 2.6 Trillion Won
Jeff Bezos, the founder and chairman of Amazon, sold approximately 12 million shares of Amazon stock worth about $2 billion (2.666 trillion KRW).
According to foreign media on the 10th (local time), Bezos reported to the securities authorities that he sold these shares on the 7th and 8th at $168 to $171 per share (224,000 to 228,000 KRW).
Earlier, Amazon stated in a report submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that Bezos plans to sell 50 million shares of Amazon stock, which he founded 30 years ago, in the future.

According to the U.S. business magazine Forbes, Bezos's net worth is estimated at $195.5 billion (260.6 trillion KRW). He is the third richest person in the world, following Bernard Arnault, chairman of the French luxury group Louis Vuitton Mo?t Hennessy (LVMH), and Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla in the United States.
