Gwangju Shinsegae, Warm Volunteer Meal Service at Senior Dining Hall for Lunar New Year
Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Dong-hoon) shared warm hands by visiting welfare centers in collaboration with Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, to volunteer meal service for the elderly ahead of the Lunar New Year.
On the 7th, Gwangju Shinsegae announced that CEO Lee Dong-hoon, Seo-gu Mayor Kim Yi-gang, and employees participated in lunch meal service at the Gwangju Seo-gu Senior Welfare Center's senior dining hall.
This meal service was prepared for the Lunar New Year, providing free special meals during lunchtime and supporting holiday gifts for the elderly at the welfare center.
Gwangju Shinsegae employees delivered 600 servings of special meals including beef rice cake soup, braised short ribs, and cinnamon punch to the elderly. They also conveyed warmth by giving commemorative gifts containing daily necessities such as eco-friendly eco-bags and towels.
In addition, Gwangju Shinsegae carries out support activities for the underprivileged through various social contribution programs every month to help those in need within the local community.
Lee Dong-hoon, CEO of Gwangju Shinsegae, said, “We prepared a heartfelt meal for the Lunar New Year and hope that our feelings were conveyed. We will continue to strive to help local residents through various social contribution activities.”
