Jin Gyohoon, Gangseo-gu Mayor, Attends Resident Briefing on June 6 at 55 Gonghang-dong Moa Town Area
Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, attended the 'Gonghang-dong 55 Area Moa Town Management Plan (Draft) Resident Briefing Session' held at the Gonghang-dong Community Center at 2 p.m. on the 6th.
The district organized the briefing session to explain the concept of the Moa Town system, a small-scale housing maintenance project, and the management plan (draft), and to hear residents' opinions.
The briefing session was held with about 150 local residents in attendance and proceeded in the order of ▲ Moa Town system and promotion procedures ▲ Moa Town management plan (draft) ▲ future promotion plans ▲ Q&A.
The Gonghang-dong 55 area covers approximately 96,000㎡ and was selected as a Moa Town candidate site in October 2022. The management plan is currently being established.
After the resident briefing session, the district plans to support the completion of the process within four months, including a joint expert preliminary consultation between the city and district, a resident review to gather opinions, and approval of the management plan.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, "Although today's briefing session is not a legal procedure, it was prepared to ensure that the residents, who are the project stakeholders, can fully understand the Moa Town project," adding, "We will continue to provide administrative support so that the Moa Town project can proceed swiftly."

Meanwhile, the district is currently promoting the Moa Town project at a total of nine sites, including the 'Gonghang-dong 55 area' Moa Town candidate site. To promote these projects more quickly and systematically, the district operates the Old Downtown Revitalization Promotion Team, which oversees maintenance projects.
