Ulleung-gun Pledges to Achieve Integrity Trusted by Residents
Sending Integrity Letters for This Year's Seol Holiday
Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk, sent an integrity letter starting February 5th to about 300 company representatives and civil petitioners in the contract and licensing sectors, expressing its commitment to creating a trustworthy public service culture in anticipation of the upcoming Seol holiday.
This integrity letter declares the county's pledge to integrity and its determination to practice anti-corruption and integrity both internally and externally. It includes a commitment to strictly address cases where public officials demand money or entertainment during various tasks and civil petition processes, and to strengthen the internal control system to establish fair and transparent county administration.
It also requests that if public officials demand money or engage in illegal or improper handling of affairs, citizens report to the Ulleung-gun website’s Participation Plaza Report Center or the Planning and Audit Office’s Audit Team.
To improve integrity, Ulleung-gun has established a ‘Ulleung-gun Customized Integrity Consulting Plan’ that includes surveys and analysis of all employees, anti-corruption and integrity special lectures, and consultations on integrity-related regulations and reporting procedures, and is promoting various policies to spread an integrity culture.
