20s Woman Rescued After Falling into Sea While Walking at Jeju Hallim Port
A woman in her 20s who slipped and fell into the sea during a nighttime walk at Jeju Hallim Port was rescued by the Jeju Coast Guard.
According to the Jeju Maritime Police Station on the 5th, a report was received the previous day at 10:49 p.m. about a person falling into the sea near the Hallim Port pier.

As police officers from the Hallim Police Substation rushed to the scene, it was found that Ms. A (female, in her 20s) was hanging onto a mooring rope connected to a fishing boat. The officers quickly handed her a rescue tube, and one officer immediately entered the water, successfully rescuing her to land by 10:58 p.m.
It was confirmed that Ms. A had slipped and fallen into the sea while walking with her family. She complained of hypothermia and was transported to a nearby hospital by a 119 ambulance.
A Jeju Coast Guard official said, “The areas near ports and harbors are often dark and slippery, so please exercise special caution when approaching.”
