Ulsan City Provides 30 Million Won in Relief Funds for Fire Damage Recovery at Seocheon Specialty Market

Ulsan City is lending support to the restoration of Seocheon Specialty Market in Chungnam, which suffered significant damage from a fire that occurred last month.
On the 5th, Ulsan City announced that it will donate 30 million KRW to aid the swift restoration of Seocheon Market's facilities and support merchants who suffered property damage.
The donated funds will be provided through the External Cooperation Fund, which was established to promote mutual exchange and cooperation with domestic local governments and foreign municipalities.
Kim Doo-gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan, said, "I extend my condolences to the merchants who have been greatly distressed by the large fire that occurred ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday," adding, "I hope that the quick recovery of Seocheon Specialty Market will help merchants regain their courage and return to their daily lives."

In 2022, Ulsan City also provided donations and supplies through the External Cooperation Fund to support wildfire damage in Gyeongbuk and Gangwon, as well as typhoon damage in Pohang.
