A man in his 40s who conspired with an acquaintance to fraudulently obtain a loan on his father's apartment sentenced to prison in first trial
Loan of 80 Million Won from Four Loan Companies
A daughter who committed loan fraud by pretending to lease out her father's apartment has been sentenced to prison.
The Ulsan District Court Criminal Division 4 (Presiding Judge Jeong In-young) announced on the 5th that it sentenced A and B, both in their 40s and tried for fraud charges, to four months in prison each.
A conspired with B, who had real estate knowledge, and in April 2020, forged a contract to lease the apartment owned by her father under his name to an acquaintance, C, for a deposit of 100 million won. Using this lease contract and deposit as collateral, C borrowed a total of 80 million won from four loan companies.

The loaned money was shared and spent by A, B, and C. C was sentenced to four months in prison with a two-year probation. The court stated, "Since they divided roles and committed the crime together, strict punishment is necessary," adding, "B also has prior convictions for similar offenses" as reasons for the sentencing.
