Icheon-si Opens 40 Public Parking Lots for Free During Seol Holiday
On-Street and Off-Street Parking Lots with a Capacity of 2,013 Spaces
On the 1st, Icheon City in Gyeonggi-do announced that it will operate 40 public parking lots free of charge for four days from the 9th to the 12th during the Lunar New Year holiday period to accommodate returning visitors and those visiting ancestral graves.
During this period, the free parking lots include 34 on-street parking lots with 688 spaces and 6 off-street parking lots with 1,325 spaces, totaling 2,013 spaces. The off-street parking lots open for free include Jungnicheon-ro, Buksesmal, Seohee Youth, Taxi Shelter, Namcheon Shopping Center, and Public Sports Complex parking lots.

Meanwhile, to alleviate downtown parking difficulties, the city established a public parking lot with 466 spaces at the Public Sports Complex in March last year, followed by securing 224 spaces at the Namcheon Shopping Center public parking lot in October. Additionally, the city is currently conducting urban management plan decisions and traffic impact assessments to secure six more public parking lots.
