Samsung Welstory announced on the 1st that it will expand the supply of low-carbon and eco-friendly certified agricultural products in the food distribution sector.
The low-carbon and eco-friendly certified agricultural products handled by Samsung Welstory are produced through organic or pesticide-free cultivation or by applying low-carbon agricultural technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the production process compared to the average.

Last year, Samsung Welstory secured 79 types of low-carbon and eco-friendly certified items, including vegetables and fruits, and supplied a total of 130 tons of agricultural products to its clients. Starting this year, the supply range will be expanded to include specialty vegetables such as romaine and red chard.
In addition, to expand the supply of agricultural products, which was mainly focused on the metropolitan area, nationwide, Samsung Welstory plans to strengthen the nationwide supply network by newly discovering partner companies handling low-carbon and eco-friendly certified agricultural products on a regional basis.
