Ulsan Nammok General Industrial Complex Development Project Launches... Design Service Kick-off Meeting
Development Restriction Zone Lifted and Industrial Complex Plan Approval Implemented
Permit Period Reduced from 2 Years to 1 Year, First Nationwide Initiative
The 'Nammok General Industrial Complex' development project, aimed at advancing Ulsan's core industries and fostering new industries, has been launched.
Ulsan City announced that on the 1st at 4 p.m., it will hold the 'Nammok General Industrial Complex Development Project Basic and Detailed Design Service Kick-off Meeting' in the mayor's office on the 7th floor of the city hall main building.
The meeting will be attended by about 10 people, including Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, related officials, representatives from Ulsan Urban Corporation, and design service participating institutions.
The meeting will cover a comprehensive analysis of the current status, plans for lifting development restrictions, infrastructure supply plans, handling of major obstacles, cooperation system establishment plans, and future schedule reports.
Through this service, Ulsan City plans to establish the lifting of development restrictions and the industrial complex plan in the second half of this year and proceed with the industrial complex plan approval process early next year.
Additionally, in cooperation with central agencies such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the city will apply special procedures to simplify processes for regional strategic projects and simultaneously proceed with lifting development restrictions and industrial complex plan approval procedures.
Through this, the approval procedures for lifting development restrictions and industrial complex plans, which usually take nearly two years, will be drastically reduced to one year, making it the nation's first advanced case.
An official from Ulsan City said, "Once this project is completed, it is expected to greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy and balanced regional development by promoting investment and creating jobs through additional securing of future industrial sites linked with the nearby Ulsan-Mipo National Industrial Complex and Hyundai Motor Company."
The Nammok General Industrial Complex development project is a customized project with a total budget of 269.4 billion KRW, proactively responding to the development of eco-friendly future automobile industries in line with the paradigm shift in the global automobile industry.
