Muan-gun, Joint Safety Inspection for Fire Prevention in Traditional Markets
Military, Fire Station, Electric and Gas Safety Corporation, and Merchant Association Participate as Related Organizations
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) conducted a joint safety inspection to prevent winter fires around the Illo Traditional Market area on the 26th in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to the county on the 29th, this safety inspection was carried out by related organizations including Muan-gun, Muan Fire Station, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, Korea Gas Safety Corporation, and the Merchants Association to strengthen initial response capabilities for electrical and fire safety facilities and to preemptively block various risk factors, creating a safe market environment.

View original imageThe main inspection items were △ securing fire extinguishing facilities such as fire extinguishers △ checking for faulty wiring and the use of octopus-style power strips △ the storage status of gas containers △ securing fire truck access roads.
The county plans to take corrective actions on minor issues on-site following the joint inspection, and for issues that cannot be immediately corrected, repairs and reinforcements will be made as soon as possible.
Governor Kim San said, “We will do our best to create a safe market where customers can use with peace of mind through thorough preparations to prevent large-scale fires and other disasters.”
