The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Kibo) announced on the 29th that it received the Prime Minister's Commendation at the ‘Daedeok Special Zone 50th Anniversary Government Awards Ceremony’ in recognition of its contributions to the development of the research and development special zone.
Starting with the basic plan for the construction of the Research Academy City in 1973, the Daedeok Research Complex was expanded and reorganized into the Daedeok Research and Development Special Zone in 2005. Since signing a business agreement in 2005 to support the Daedeok Research and Development Special Zone and R&D and technology commercialization, Kibo has been promoting customized cooperative projects tailored to regional characteristics, including ▲technology finance support ▲technology transfer and commercialization support ▲intellectual property (IP) evaluation ▲comprehensive research and development (R&D) support.
Additionally, Kibo has actively discovered and nurtured innovative technology companies in new industry sectors within the special zone by continuously promoting collaborative projects that combine Kibo’s technology evaluation infrastructure with the operational know-how of the Special Zone Foundation, such as the ‘Small and Strong Special Zone Excellent IP Finance Support Project.’
