Suwon City 'Jeonwolse Counseling Center' Opens on February 1
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is opening and operating the Suwon Jeonwolse Consultation Center.
On the 26th, Suwon City announced that, together with the Suwon branch of the Korea Association of Realtors, it will open the "Suwon Jeonwolse Consultation Center" in the main building's integrated civil service office at City Hall on the 1st of next month to assist citizens facing difficulties when signing Jeonwolse contracts.
On the same day, the two organizations signed a "Suwon Jeonwolse Consultation Center Operation Agreement" in the City Hall's medium conference room to establish the center.
The consultation center will have certified realtors recommended by each district branch of the Suwon branch of the Korea Association of Realtors review contract risk factors before contract signing, including ▲checking for "empty lease" (Kkangtong Jeonse) ▲guidance on contract precautions ▲verification of real estate registry documents ▲checking for illegal buildings.
The consultation center will be open from the 1st of next month on weekdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Consultations can be conducted in person, via email, or by phone. To apply for a consultation, visit the city governance participation platform "Saewit Toktok".
Suwon City has appointed 20 certified realtors recommended by the Suwon branch of the Korea Association of Realtors as consultation committee members.

Hwang In-guk, Suwon City's 2nd Deputy Mayor, stated, "It is necessary to carefully check the rights analysis before signing a Jeonwolse contract," adding, "Suwon City and the Korea Association of Realtors will work together to help citizens protect their valuable rental deposits themselves."
