Recruitment of New Tenant Companies for Gwanak S Valley Startup Space

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) is recruiting new companies to move into the startup spaces at ‘Gwanak S Valley’.
Since 2020, Gwanak-gu has been promoting the ‘Gwanak S Valley’ project, which leverages the excellent technology and young talent of Seoul National University through the two main hubs of Nakseong Venture Valley and Sillim Startup Valley to create quality jobs and revitalize the local economy.
The district is recruiting companies to occupy a total of seven startup spaces?five rooms at the Nakseong Venture Startup Center and two rooms at the Sillim Venture Startup Center?from January 29 to February 9 at 11 a.m.
Various spaces are available, ranging from rooms for 4 people to rooms for 18 people, tailored to different growth stages. Eligible applicants are venture companies under the Special Measures Act on the Promotion of Venture Businesses as of the announcement date, or (pre-)startups within seven years of establishment.
Resident companies will be finally selected through a first-round document evaluation and a second-round presentation evaluation. The residency period is one year, from March this year to February next year, with the possibility of a one-year extension based on evaluation. Resident companies will be provided with affordable office space and various office equipment, as well as diverse business growth programs tailored by field and stage to support corporate growth and investment attraction, including ▲business diagnosis ▲mentoring programs ▲open innovation ▲demo days ▲startup networking ▲corporate promotion support.
Meanwhile, Gwanak S Valley is a key project of the district that has gained attention as it was selected last year as a rapid promotion project for balanced development in the southwestern region of Seoul. This year, two resident companies achieved the great success of winning CES 2024 Innovation Awards.
Additionally, the district is advancing as a hub for venture startups by promoting initiatives such as ▲establishing the ‘Gwanak Small and Medium Venture Promotion Agency’ ▲creating 16 startup infrastructure sites ▲establishing a 20 billion KRW startup support fund?the first of its kind in a basic local government ▲providing commercialization funds and technical consulting support for innovative companies.
