Jinhyung Ik, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea and a councilor of Changwon City, Gyeongnam, held a solo protest in front of the main gate of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency on the 25th.
Councilor Jin stated, "Last August, it was announced that the provincial police agency had launched an investigation into allegations of violation of the Public Official Election Act involving Jo Myung-rae, the 2nd Deputy Mayor of Changwon City, but the investigation results have not yet been released," and urged, "Please promptly clarify the allegations of bribery and pre-election campaigning through the formation of a private organization during Deputy Mayor Jo's local election campaign."

He added, "There are currently no plans for additional solo protests, but if the investigation does not progress further, the Gyeongnam Provincial Party intends to request a meeting with the police chief in the future."
