Prosecutors Arrest and Indict Two Trainers for Illegal Steroid Manufacturing
Trainers accused of manufacturing and selling illegal pharmaceuticals have been brought to trial.
The Food and Drug Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Song Myeong-seop) on the 25th indicted two trainers on charges of manufacturing and selling illegal pharmaceuticals worth approximately 400 million won.
According to the prosecution and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, from April 2017 to October last year, they received semi-finished products containing pharmaceutical ingredients such as steroids and growth hormones from China by mail, and illegally manufactured pharmaceuticals by attaching labels, distributing them domestically (violating the Health Crime Control Act, etc.).
The pharmaceuticals they manufactured in this manner amounted to about 28,900 bottles, of which 24,000 bottles worth approximately 440 million won were sold to about 200 people through social networking services (SNS).
