Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Attends Opening Ceremony of 'WOORI Senior IT Happiness Learning Center'
On the morning of the 24th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, attended the opening ceremony of the ‘WOORI Elderly IT Happiness Learning Center’ held at Seongsan Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
Sponsored by Woori Bank and supported by Mapo-gu and the Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone, the Elderly IT Happiness Learning Center was established on the first floor of Seongsan Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, equipped with various digital devices such as kiosks, VR devices, electronic whiteboards, and tablets to address the digital divide among the elderly.
At the opening ceremony, about 20 people, including Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Jo Se-hyung, Vice President of Woori Bank, Gu Hyo-jin, Head of Woori Bank Seodaemun Sales Headquarters, Kim Eung-cheol, Director of the Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone, Shim Jeong-won, Director of Seongsan Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, and local elderly residents, gathered to celebrate the launch of the IT Happiness Learning Center.
During the ceremony, Mayor Park Gang-su delivered a congratulatory speech and participated in the unveiling ceremony to mark the opening. Afterwards, he spent time enjoying health-promoting games using digital devices with local elderly residents and toured the kiosks and VR devices.

In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Park Gang-su said, “I sincerely thank Woori Bank for establishing the WOORI Elderly IT Happiness Learning Center to strengthen the digital capabilities of the elderly.” He added, “Mapo-gu also operates kiosk and smartphone education programs for the digitally vulnerable, including the elderly and people with disabilities, and will continue to provide more digital education to create a Mapo without digital exclusion amid the rapidly changing global landscape.”
