Seoul City Requests Expansion of Support for SME Management Stability and Cooperative Development
The Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs announced on the 24th that it visited the Seoul Metropolitan Council and held a meeting with Kim Hyun-gi, the chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council. At the meeting, Park Jong-seok, president of the Seoul Regional Federation of SMEs, along with about 10 chairpersons of industry-specific SME cooperatives in Seoul, attended.
The SME sector conveyed the current issues and difficulties of industry-specific SMEs to Chairman Kim Hyun-gi. Seoul-based SMEs proposed ▲expansion of Seoul's SME and cooperative support projects ▲provision of public rental industrial facilities for the reestablishment of printing companies within the Saeun redevelopment zone ▲expansion of purchases of SME products by Seoul city and public institutions ▲support for the construction of logistics centers for small business owners.

Park Jong-seok, president of the Seoul Regional Federation of SMEs, said, "This year as well, SMEs and cooperatives face challenging business environments, and we requested full support from the Seoul Metropolitan Council, including the reflection of supplementary budgets, to revitalize the local economy." He added, "Seoul-based cooperatives will do their best to revive the vitality of the local economy through collaboration and joint projects."
