Recently, YG held a 'Save the Children Donation Ceremony for Music Therapy Support Project for Abused Children' at its new office in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, attended by YG Co-CEO Hwang Bo-kyung, Save the Children President Jung Tae-young, and Kim Hee-kwon, Head of External Cooperation.
The donated funds will be used to operate four child protection specialized centers under the international child rights NGO Save the Children (located in Seoul, Bucheon, Ansan, and Ulsan). In particular, music therapy rooms will be established to run customized treatment programs for abused children, including music therapy, speech and play therapy, and psychological treatment.
YG and Save the Children pledged active mutual cooperation to promote the emotional stability and healthy developmental growth of abused children by reducing the aftereffects of abuse through the 'Music Therapy Support Project for Abused Children,' helping the children to return well to their daily lives.
YG stated, "We are very pleased to have a meaningful opportunity to support the healthy growth of children and adolescents through music and contribute to society. We sincerely hope that children who have gone through difficult experiences can recover to their daily lives as soon as possible, and we will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities through various social contribution activities."
